Contemporary Blues

This is a track I didn't like very much when I listened to it first, although from then on I listened to it from time to time…
to different occasions. The more I listened to it, the more it grew on me. So I came to really like it.

The sick piano sample repelled me. And – I think –
the heavy repetitiveness makes me want to drown myself.
The reason it seemed odd to me in the beginning, is now the reason I especially like it for.

Anyways, it's the only minimal-techno track I know,
that has really earned credit for being blues.
And even though it seems to be made for the dancefloor, it works as a pop song as well.

The lyric line is amazing. Depending on the situation, it means something different.
It could be an early awareness of your friends acting strangely, while you don't want to change yourself but deep down you know you should… or it might be understood out of a defensive attitude, like if someone would dare to judge your friends for reasons you just don't get. But in both ways it's a thought that goes on and on in your mind.
